Hikers in awe as solar eclipse turns sky red over French Pyrenees

Hikers and astronomers gathered at France’s Pic du Midi to watch the solar eclipse from the Pyrenees. Clouds partly obscured the event, but visitors described the experience as peaceful, poetic and “magical”.
